Frontier Technology, Inc. (FTI) was founded in 1985 and is an employee-owned business that focuses on performing research for the Defense Department to empower customers to make Program and Operational Data Driven Decisions. The core of FTI’s Decision Support Technologies is a clear understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) “Big Data” challenges. Combining that insight with FTI’s software development empowers FTI to integrate the DoD community accepted data into an information technology environment. FTI’s technologies can find patterns in the data that enable DoD decision makers to make informed decisions that would not be natural without the insight from the FTI tools. The foundation of FTI’s recent and future growth is based on its creative technologies combined with the business opportunities inherent in the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program.
FTI was honored to have been awarded the 2015 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Tibbetts Award, presented at a White House Ceremony in the summer of 2015. FTI was one of 23 companies given the award in the ceremony. The companies were selected based on their abilities to exemplify the very best in innovative research.
