Overview: ACT I has been providing solutions for high profile military programs such as the U.S. Navy's and the U.S. Air Force's Joint Strike Fighter F-35, the U.S. Navy's F-18, EA-18G and F-16N Aggressor, and the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor since 1998.

We are a Small Business DoD Prime Contractor on seeking candidates to provide support to Marice Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM).

Responsibilities: This position is at Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) in Albany, GA in support of the Audit Readiness Augmentation team for assessment of financial systems compliance with FIAR requirements. The candidate ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation; verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation; completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings; appraises adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires; recommends enhancements to policies and procedures; communicates audit findings by preparing reports and discussing findings with auditees; complies with FIAR requirements by studying existing and new security legislation; recommending enforcement and adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. The candidate prepares special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends.

Specific requirements include, but are not limited to the following:
• Audits financial, control, operating or other records and data to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of systems.
• Determines audit strategies, programs and procedures for specific audit assignments.
• Audits and evaluates the overall condition of a variety of financial, control, and operations systems.
• Makes recommendations in audit areas of expertise.
• Develops recommendations for program goals and plans for implementation.
• Develops alternative recommendations and strategies for programs based on analysis and research in an assigned specialty area.

Qualifications: Knowledge, skills, abilities, education:

• B.A. or B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting and financial management experience, including at least 3+ years of increasing responsibilities as a team leader or first level supervisor.
• Knowledge and/or experience working with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements
• Knowledge of logistics procedures and processes as it relates to financial management
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent client-facing consulting skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to use MS Office Suite of tools and applications
• Knowledgeable and experienced with USMC materiel management and/or inventory control functions at the wholesale level of supply
