Job Description:

Overview: ACT I has been providing solutions for high profile military programs such as the U.S. Navy's and the U.S. Air Force's Joint Strike Fighter F-35, the U.S. Navy's F-18, EA-18G and F-16N Aggressor, and the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor since 1998.

We are a Small Business DoD Prime Contractor seeking candidates to provide support to the 818th Mobility Support Advisory Squadrons (MSAS).

This position is contingent upon Task Order Award. Period of Performance is Sep 2017 through Aug 2022.

Responsibilities: • Work with USAF personnel to develop and maintain short and long-term language development plans for 818th Mobility Support Airlift Squadron (MSAS) language-enabled personnel, to include initial acquisition and sustainment courses with assigned 818 MSAS Defense Language Institute (DLI) instructors.

• Conduct Initial Language Development interviews.

• Ensure all newly assigned advisors are provided a language specific diagnostic assessment and/or a structured language placement test if available to determine language development needs.

• Serve as liaison between the 818 MSAS and the USAF Air Advisor Flight DLI detachment to ensure proper scheduling and curriculum development for initial acquisition and sustainment courses.

• Schedule all language-related tests, to include the Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB), Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), and Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI).

• Maintain a current database of all unit language test scores.

• Monitor the unit's Foreign Language Proficiency Bonus (FLPB) program in conjunction with the 818 MSAS Command Support Staff (CSS) and JBMDL Test Control Officer (TCO).

• Attend applicable seminars, conferences, and other training, if required.

Qualifications: - Acquired or in the process of acquiring a basic language proficiency of DLPT 1/1 (basic proficiency) in a secondary language preferred, but not mandatory.

- Minimum of ten years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) language acquisition, development, and testing programs.

- Working knowledge and remain current with the latest version of WINDOWS (e.g. XP), and Microsoft applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Project)

- Ability to complete the DoD CLPM Course at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC), Monterey, CA within 90 days

- Moving expense reimbursement is offered for highly competitive candidates.

• Candidate personnel shall possess a secret clearance.
