Job Description:

Overview: ACT I has been providing solutions for high profile military programs since 1998.

We are a Small Business DoD contractor and are aggressively seeking candidates to support the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ) and provide specialized expertise to complement the organization's inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence.

The Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ) has overall responsibility for acquiring weapons systems for the Department of the Air Force and serves as the Senior Procurement Executive, the Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) and acquisition representative on the Air Force Council. SAF/AQ oversees the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) and procurement of major Air Force platforms and systems across the full breadth of air and space capabilities. SAF/AQ reports to the Secretary of the Air Force, serves as an agent of the Secretary within assigned policy and program domains, and provides guidance, direction, and oversight for all matters pertaining to the formulation, review, and execution of plans, policies, programs, and budgets within the AQ area of responsibility. SAF/AQ also works in cooperation with the other agencies and organizations within the Secretary of the Air Force and Headquarters Air Force. Program Executive Officers (PEOs) at multiple acquisition centers, to include the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO), reports directly to the SAE and the Defense Acquisition Executive (DAE) for Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition functions. SAF/AQ works to address immediate and near-term Combat Air Force and Combatant Commander's requirements by managing acquisition projects that are conducted on accelerated timelines, require unique industrial interactions, and coordination and cooperation of other government agencies and organizations.

Place of Performance is at the Pentagon and various Government facilities in the NCR, military installations, and other facilities as may be required.

Proposed Period of Performance is August 2018 through August 2023 (one Base year plus four Option years).

This position is contingent upon Task Order award.

Responsibilities: The tasks for this position include but are not limited to:
a. Assessing policy requirements and developing policy and procedures governing the
interaction of Assurance in Software Engineering (ASE) into all acquisition phases of
lifecycle management and sustainment of AF weapon systems.
b. Planning, developing, and coordinating ASE of weapon system Platform Information
Technology (PIT) policy development/writing and plans to include strategic planning, capital
planning, and investment control, workforce planning, standards development, resource
management, knowledge management, architecture, infrastructure planning and
management, as well as auditing.
c. Planning and coordinating policy development for the acquisition, implementation, and
integration of CSRS techniques into software supporting operations in all phases of life cycle
management and sustainment of AF weapon systems.
d. Reviewing existing and proposed policy documents that have Cyber Resiliency sections or
possibly impact AF enterprise ASE policy.
e. Providing ASE expertise especially on weapon system Platform Information Systems (PIT)
and Embedded Systems guidance to develop, implement, and evaluate actions to improve the
cyber security and resiliency of operational software.
f. Establishing and promoting consistency across validated security and resiliency software in
support of operational systems-level requirements concepts of operations (CONOPS) and
architectures and ensures all program technical activities are consistent with these systemlevel
baseline documents.
g. Reviewing program technical approaches to identify PIT and Embedded systems where
integration of material solutions or Tactics, Technics and Practices (TTP) for operational
software improves cyber security and resiliency of the entire system.
q. Reviewing of acquisition programs for integration and technical changes to programs to
achieving better software security and resiliency.
r. Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as
coordinated with the COR.

Qualifications: -Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or Information Assurance
-10 years of experience in Assurance in Software Engineering. Staff, requirements or test experience is highly desired.
-Level II DAWIA (or equivalent) certification in SE is also desired.
-Top Secret SCI Clearance Required
