Essential Job Functions:
Conducts training courses, both on-site and on-line, for the company's applications and systems to include lectures and hands-on sessions.Works with applicable business unit/area to establish specifications of course, prerequisite skills and knowledge for trainees.Ensures that training courses address all levels of employee. Assists in the design and development of technical training programs and curriculums, both on-site and on-line, for employees on various software and/or hardware applications and systems.Researches and assists in writing technical and user manuals to support training. Works with engineering, technical support, and/or applicable area to ensure that material is accurate and reflects current product features.Gathers, reviews and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions.Prepares recommendations and reports to senior level personnel and/or management. Implements approved revisions to course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness.Reviews, as requested, external training programs to determine feasibility of purchase as requested.Makes recommendations to management as appropriate.Remains informed of and maintain proficiency with applicable company products.Works with senior level personnel and business units/technical areas to conduct needs assessments to ensure training needs are met.Additional Job Functions:
The G3 Air/Fires Trainer/Mentor will TAAM SOB and all subordinate organization counterparts in duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following: integrating, forecasting and planning for the use of ground and air fire support assets in support of SOB combat operations; fire support planning, coordinating with higher, subordinate, and adjacent organizations in order to facilitate direct/indirect fire support; developing guidance and tasks as required for subordinate forces; identifying the requirements for additional combat forces; planning for, and training of close air support (CAS) operations; advises and assists with Afghan Tactical Air Coordinator (ATAC) continuation training, and executes duties as assigned. The mentor has an expeditionary role and will perform ETAA missions Experience/Qualifications:
Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active/valid US security clearance. (OCONUS)Must currently possess at a minimum an Interim security clearance and be able to obtain/maintain an active/valid US security clearance. (CONUS)Shall be honorably discharged from service and will have a minimum of one year U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, or Marine Corps Brigade Combat Team/Battalion-level Fire Support (or equivalent) experience, Special Operations Forces terminal attack controller experience, or other service component equivalent. Shall be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and shall have three years of Close Attack Aviation coordination experience. Combat experience required, 12 months experience in Afghanistan and Special Operations Forces experience preferred.Professional Credentials Requirements: Graduate of either the Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) course, Special Operations Terminal Attack Controllers Course (SOTACC), Joint Firepower Course (JFC), or the Joint Forward Air Controller Course (JFAC). Observer / Controller Trainer (O/CT) certification preferred. WTA requirements: - 2 years, "and/or" related Bachelor's degree.
Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals. - Graduate of either the Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) course, Special Operations Terminal Attack Controllers Course (SOTACC), Joint Firepower Course (JFC), or the Joint Forward Air Controller Course (JFAC). Observer / Controller Trainer (O/CT) certification preferred. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering or related field preferredFour or more years of technical training experience- Experience working with company software, systems, applications and network productsExperience working with communications practices, principles and procedures for both on-site and on-line presentationsOther Qualifications:
