Responsibilities
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cyber Engineering and Protection Directorate provides technical advice and analyses in program protection and cybersecurity engineering to the Space and Missile Systems Center Engineering Directorate (SMC/EN). The position will provide technical, developmental, and planning support to cyber security and program protection activities. This position requires engagement with the broader information security community to proactively address shifting technology and evolving threats.

KEY FUNCTIONS
Assist with developing technical and non-technical solutions to address defensive cyber capabilities. Applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria in the aspects of cybersecurity for information systems Pepares details of analytical reports, including preliminary findings and recommendations

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in information systems, mathematics or computer science or relevant disciplines Technical experience within relevant disciplines, including: systems security, engineering, and computer programming Demonstrated superior interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Ability to work methodically and process orientated Active listening skills Collaborative Ability to document technical problems Ability to generate high quality presentations in MS Power Point (or similar applications) Willingness and eagerness to learn new technologies and research vulnerabilities associated with information systems This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. US Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle and security principles / concepts Basic understanding of security related issues with operating systems, networking and applications Basic understanding of systems architecture and networking technologies Experience with virtualized and cloud computing systems
