ARServices is seeking a Project Management Expert to join our team. This professional will support the Project manager in leading a team to provide professional, technical, and administrative support to the Director of R&D in the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Specifically, the Deputy Project Manager will provide direct support to the Project Manager, the Contracting Officer Representative and other US Government project managers. The position is primarily located at the ARServices office in Alexandria, VA.
Work collaboratively with project teams, end users/stakeholders to understand DLA R&D business objectives and requirements Supports all positions with appropriate analysis and backup materials, collaborates across many business units to communicate complex concepts Develop analytical reports and represent large, complex sets of data through visual representation Develop new deliverables as needed based on operational requirements and following best-practices for documentation and delivery Generate, validate, and maintain analytical reports and visualizations from a variety of sources Interact with government customer to receive and meet requirements, and manage the team, while ensuring strategic communications requirements, such as briefing materials and briefing templates and technical information requirements are developed Daily activities include:
Post, edit, distribute and maintain appropriate content for unclassified website/portals, while ensuring optimal accessibility, accuracy and retrieval upload information into the portal Develop and maintain an accurate, consistent, repeatable process for responses to official questions by collecting, consolidating, and preparing written responses to external Requests For Information (RFI) or internal query from leadership Create and maintain records in compliance with DoD Records Management policies and directives Organize data, establish file structures, and ensure information is captured and stored in locations accessible to various user groups Develop reports as required to support operations, write knowledge content as required, and prepare presentations for senior management to support recommended changes, new initiatives or enhancements Monitors solution benefits and key measures of success to ensure that ongoing benefits are realized, and facilitate development of controls with business partners through streamlining processes and system automation
Must hold minimum of SECRET clearance with ability to obtain a TS Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Deputy Project Manager Prior budget management experience Staff experience researching and writing assessment reports in support of activities for defining policy Ability to develop executive-level briefing materials, administrative, and logistics support Ability to develop strong working relationships within teams and across the organization Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to multiple audiences (e.g., technical and non-technical, executive-level) Creative thinker; strong analytical, multitasking, and interpersonal skills Desired Qualifications
Previous experience with either working or supporting DLA Previous experience working with R&D budgets PMP certification
