ARServices is seeking a full time Legal Secretary to join its team to support the Department of Energy's Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB). The Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) is an independent organization within the executive branch chartered with the responsibility of providing recommendations and advice to the President and the Secretary of Energy regarding public health and safety issues at Department of Energy (Department) defense nuclear facilities. The position is located in Washington, D.C..
Perform administrative tasks associated with agency travel, such as: Prepare reports for travel vouchers Prepare travel itineraries Maintain contact with attorneys while in a travel status Update travel fees in tracking spreadsheets Post travel authorizations, vouchers, and miscellaneous vouchers into accounting system Update cost comparisons, if necessary Assist in planning and coordinating Board hearings and meetings, including arranging court reporting services, assembling binders, and preparing notices for publication in the Federal Register Maintain the General Counsel's schedule and schedule meetings, make final commitments, referring matters to attorneys when appropriate Advise the General Counsel of appointments and other commitments which might have a bearing on future decisions Assist with new purchase card tracking and reconciliation process Serve as the timekeeper and agency time and attendance point of contact. Resolve timekeeping issues and conduct regular audits of time and attendance records Monitor and coordinate SharePoint ticketing system to ensure tickets are properly categorized and assigned Assist with other projects, as needed Document and update processes and procedures, as needed Check and verify the accuracy of work. Assure the accuracy of work by self-checking and comparing input documents to output documents Maintain orderly hard copy files of documents in accordance with Agency procedures Maintain orderly electronic copy files of documents in accordance with Agency procedures Requirements:
