Job Description:
ARServices is seeking a Senior Visual Information Specialist to support the Corporate Communications Division (Code 103), at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Code 103 provides strategic counsel, planning and execution of internal and external communication for NSWCDD, and is responsible for informing, promoting and marketing the successes of NSWCDD, as well as the 8,000-member workforce, local community leaders, elected officials, Program Executive Offices, and other Navy and DoD stakeholders.
In these roles, the Visual Information Specialists will provide support for 24 multimedia deliverables annually to support command communication goals.
Principal Duties
Assist in the design and production of visual information products Design and produce technical and artistic illustration and graphic artwork for brochures, posters, exhibits, displays, and logos Provide design, graphics and production services for plaques and custom framing/matting Design and develop 3-D models, audio, visual, photographic, animated and simulation products Shoot digital videography and photographs Provide digital video/audio editing and production, and interactive multimedia products Design, develop and produce physical exhibits, displays, posters and banners Produce professional audiovisual products in accordance with industry audiovisual standards, usable by commercial news outlets Requirements
Bachelor's degree in fine arts, communications, graphic design or animation OR at least seven (7) years of experience developing visual information and graphic art products for various print, exhibit, web page design, digital audio/video, and online media Active secret security clearance and ability to maintain Expertise in designing and developing visual information and graphic art products Demonstrated knowledge of running graphic production equipment Expertise in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and AfterEffects
