Job Description:


Defines database strategy and standards to include database engines, modeling techniques, high availability and failover techniques for enterprise scale applications. Manages staff that defines enterprise data models and ensures proper design to achieve optimum solutions. Defines real time monitoring, performance tools, techniques and procedures to ensure highest availability. Ensures backup and recovery plans are available and in place. Sets standards for stored procedure development, deployment and change control. Works with Application and Integration Architects to design enterprise scale solutions. Mentors database administrators and provides appropriate education plans and programs across enterprise to ensure consistency and interoperability among data stores.

Expert knowledge of relational and star schema databases; stored procedure development; data modeling and application data design; enterprise-level, N-tier architectures in a Microsoft environment; and MS/SQL server. Bachelors Degree or 4 years of related experience required.
