ICI Services is looking for a motivated individual who would like to join our Team at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, RI. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Services and Technical Services to Government clients in 14 states and the District of Columbia. We are looking for a Naval Logistician I ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.
Applicant must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance. Responsibilities:
Assist in the research and resolution of items that are entered into the Navy's Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortage (DMSMS) program that are applicable to NUWC, Newport programs. Assist in resolution of Engineering Assistance request (DLA-339s) from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Assist in preparing reports and forwarding to the appropriate Navy Customer. Researching, compiling, developing, writing, editing, coordinating, producing, and facilitating distribution of unclassified and classified documents and reports of a general, administrative, or logistics-related in nature. Identifying and maintaining revision control and status of logistics-related documents and reports requiring updating, changing, or cancelation. Interface with Government technical project managers, as directed, to ensure support provided meets or exceeds all work performance objectives and standards. Must have the flexibility in writing style to adapt to the different types of materials being produced. Analyze existing local and higher-echelon policies and style guides to ensure concept is compliant with format and content requirements. Experience Requirements:
Minimum of one year experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). Prior logistics-related experience supporting Undersea Warfare Systems engineering at NUWC Newport, RI, or equivalent is highly desired. Experience with Haystack, One-Touch, IPDM and other logistic databases is a plus. Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate skills proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer organization. Educational Requirements:
High School degree or GED equivalent. Additional formal education or training that is directly-relevant to this particular type of work is a plus. EOE/M/F/ Disability/Vet
