TITLE: Quality Control Clerk (GCIII) CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt SHIFTS: 3 rd shift HOURLY RATE: Per the CBA

FCi Federal has an opportunity for a Quality Control Clerk (GCIII) to join the team providing support to our Federal Government customer located in Laguna Niguel, CA.

Reports to the Quality Control Supervisor (QCS). The Quality Control Clerk (QCC) performs quality control and assurance activities in relation to the processing of immigrant applications and petitions. Maintains documentation within files and records. Chooses proper standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tasks and works from these documents and follows clearly defined processes.
This is a Union position. The employee selected for this position will be required to join the Union and pay Union dues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Day to day functions), include:
Performs quality control and assurance activities in relation to the processing of immigrant applications and petitions Maintains documentation files and records Chooses proper standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tasks and works from these documents and follows clearly defined processes Verifies compliance with work standards, SOPs, the ROH, and other approved documented performance requirements Pays particular attention to the timeliness and accuracy of the work performed Performs quality inspections and calculates quality error/defect rates Compiles and records production data. Calculates factors such as forms received, processed and pending Investigates quality related issues and develops recommendations and suggestions to decrease errors or defects. May make decisions based upon experience on what information to place on a form, how to handle missing information, what constitutes erroneous information, and how to handle erroneous information when found. Maintains various logs and uses random sampling to evaluate process efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness. Recognizes data problems that might invalidate samples, mitigate complaints, override violations found by personnel, and/or need to be included in reports of findings and of actions needed or taken May assist other clerks in learning and performing their duties Monitors and safeguards immigrant applications and petitions, including fees, at all times in accordance with contractor policies and procedures Achieves proficiency in the use of computer operating systems, such as CLAIMS, GUI and NFTS. Interacts with Client staff and Contractor Performance Analysis Unit (CPAU) members in a professional and harmonious manner on a regular basis Assists in production based on workload and staffing requirements Conducts frequent internal quality audits Additional duties as assigned Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested. The Basic Qualifications for this position are as follows:
Must be a U.S. citizen Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government background check/security clearance - full field background check required for personnel accessing IBIS, TECS, DACS. Secret level clearance may be required. Must successfully complete a comprehensive 10-year criminal and credit history background check Must successfully complete a drug screening Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:
High School Diploma or equivalent At least 2 years previous experience conducting quality control activities in a records management, information management, or administrative services environment. Four years' experience on the contract as a clerk is substitutable for this required experience. Must have a minimum of 6 months of experience on the contract to be considered for promotion into this position.

Physical Requirements:
Read rapidly from both paper and a computer terminal. Manual dexterity in the use of word processing equipment. Capable of doing daily clerical repetitive tasks. Good hand to eye coordination. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as: lifting, standing, sitting, reaching, twisting, sealing envelopes, filing, and reading. Ability to work in one place and transverse the office on a continuing basis. Ability to lift and transport up to 40 lbs. and push large carts. Talk or hear with consideration given to those with hearing impairment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
