Job Description:

Operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain all types of earthmoving equipment. Must have the ability to independently and accurately diagnose and repair/rebuild inoperative or malfunctioning equipment is essential. This individual will also provide air conditioning repair and service on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate must also have good human relations skills and abilities and the personality to successfully communicate and problem solve with customers. Customer satisfaction is of primary consideration.

The essential functions of this position include the following: independently and successfully maintain equipment as it relates to TLC work or diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain equipment in various environmental and working conditions; utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes with a demonstrated proficiency in S.I.S. and E.T.; safely assemble and disassemble components and equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications; accurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work orders; meet the Department of Transportation physical examination and licensing requirements as mandated by law; work overtime as required; and maintain tool requirements. This position will require overtime and possibly weekend work.
This position requires a commercial driver's license. The successful candidate will be required to pass a drivers' physical and all applicable tests associated with driving a service truck. A Commercial Driver's License is required in order to drive the service vehicle. The successful candidate must complete necessary paperwork required for the Company to process a Motor Vehicle Record check and Driver Qualification File, and must have a driving record acceptable to the Company. Meet the Department of Transportation physical examination and licensing requirements as mandated by law; and all applicable tests associated with driving a service truck. Work regular overtime as required; and maintain good customer relations.
As a Field Technician you are required to work in an industrial environment which includes exposure to significant environmental conditions. Physical requirements include:
- Overall stamina
- Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing
- Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching
- Listening and speaking
- Must have good motor coordination skills
- Coordination of eyes, hands, and feet
- Verbal intelligence and numerical intelligence
- The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, cold, injury exposures, and atmospheric exposures
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Graduate of a technical school, military school, or relevant working experience acceptable to the company.
